Stone Wang

Stone Wang is a Texas native who grew up in Houston, Texas. Mr. Wang attended The University of Texas at Austin where he studied Horn under horn professor Pat Hughes and received his Bachelor degree in Music Studies. During his time at UT, Mr. Wang regularly performed in top ensembles including the UT Wind Ensemble under the direction of Jerry Junkin.

Mr. Wang's teaching experience includes a diverse range of students and ensembles. He is the assistant band director at Walsh Middle School, directing the Walsh Symphonic Band, the Walsh Premier Brass, and teaching all beginner brass classes. Over the summers, Mr. Wang has been a part of the Phantom Regiment Drum and Bugle Corps brass education staff since the 2019 Drum Corps International competitive season.

Mr. Wang is grateful for the opportunity to be a part of the Austin Horn Camp team! The ability to perform music on the horn is a unique opportunity that Mr. Wang . Students deserve every opportunity to perform and improve on the horn, which makes Austin Horn Camp a top priority!
